Is it possible to get a mechanical keyboard for under £50? Yes! And it’s a Cherry MX one!

Today I look at the Cherry MX-Board 3.0 Mechanical Keyboard. This is my first mechanical keyboard and it’s a big step from normal rubber-dome keyboards.
This keyboard keeps it simple – no RGB lighting, no gimmicks – just a solid mechanical keyboard at an affordable price.
If anyone should be good at making keyboards, it’s Cherry. They have mastered the Cherry MX Mechanical keyswitches since 1985, with different variations ever since.
I recommend to try out a few mechanical keyboards to see which keyswitch colour you prefer. I chose the MX Red switches which feature on this keyboard! You can learn more here: http://www.keyboardco.com/blog/index.php/2012/12/an-introduction-to-cherry-mx-mechanical-switches/
Top tip: Don’t get FOOLED by ‘Mechanical Feel’ keyboards. These are rubber-dome keyboards with chunky keys – they won’t be anything like proper mechanical keyswitches.
